For product identification, the best two to use are
usually the 1937 and 1939 as they give exact sizes.
However, please know that in the 1950’s and later, many sizes were
reduced a bit to keep pricing competitive.

1940 Colonial Williamsburg Catalog
The introduction of Raleigh Tavern aka Queen Anne
In the early 1950’s the shopping patterns of Americans were
changing. Shopping centers were being built everywhere and downtowns started to decline. Stieff grew its network of dealers at this time. Rather than mailing thousand of catalogs to clients, the switch was made to a dealer book. Customers would go to the local Stieff Dealer and look at a large professional catalog in the dealers shop, and then place an order.
The catalogs could be updated easily by changing out the price lists in the black “Mult-0 Binders”catalogs. This cut down on printing costs as the binders could be used for many years.
