This 1957 Catalog was designed as a “Dealer Book”  and would have replaced the 1952 dealer book. This book has fewer items than the 1952 volume as Stieff was making adjustments to the product line, trying to stay current with modern tastes and style. Personally I find the 1952 book easier to use as it had insert cards at each page with the current pricing. Perhaps that is how this book started out.. but at the last update here... the January 19, 1968 price list, those cards were no longer in use. A single price page is included here and I have placed a copy for your reference at the bottom of each section.

Although some items are now “missing” from the catalog, Stieff still had the ability to make anything that the customer wished. So if you needed an exact copy of grandmothers 1917 Water Kettle, Stieff could still go to the files, pull out the spec’s and make one.

The 1957 Dealer Catalog

The “Lady” would visit an authorized Stieff dealer, and would be shown examples of Stieff’s work in this binder. Gone were the days of large Stieff catalogs that would be mailed to your home or given out at the Stieff stores. Of course in Stieff’s own stores, she would be able to see many of the items on display right there in the store.

The binders were designed to be refilled with new sheets as the product line changed. As items would change or new ones introduced, the pages would be replaced w/ new. This binder has pages ranging from 1957 to 1968.

The cover is a textured heavy paper embossed like fine leather. The lettering is of course bright silver.
