Hand Engraved
Such a “Jet Age” look, perfect for the 1950’s and 1960’s, but very dated looking now.
A lot of this pattern has made its way to the scrappers over the years.
Diamond Star was hand engraved. Look close and you can see that while they are the same pattern... no two pieces are the exactly the same due to the hand engraving

The pattern name comes from the Plantation..
Carrollton Manor, owned by
Charles Carroll of Carrollton Maryland,
the last survivor of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
United States Senator 1789-1792
When STIEFF bought Kirk in 1979, many of the Stieff patterns were retired to make room for the Kirk patterns.
The STIEFF patterns would retain the STERLING-STIEFF mark. Kirk patterns retained the S. Kirk & Son mark.
Any new patterns introduced after 1980 would use the
KIRK STIEFF hallmark as seen below on DANCING SURF
The ARGENT logo which looks like a diamond was introduced in 1984.
