October 1941 Price List

In October 1941 the clouds of war were gathering. Stieff was still producing silver at this point. Soon production would be turning to producing materials for the war. Prices are up about 10% over the 1936 price list also shown on this site.

The Homewood pattern is featured in this price list.

This price list is from my personal collection

The 10th pattern “Homewood” is shown on the next page

Homewood had been introduced in 1938

In 1939 Stieff had become the exclusive maker of Sterling Silver items for Colonial Williamsburg

in Williamsburg Virginia. Few pieces would actually be produced before the war started.

Williamsburg Pewter would come in 1951

This price list was originally distributed by

The A. McHenry & Co.  Jewelers

Hornell New York

The production and printing was by The Barton-Gillet Co., Baltimore Maryland

A search of Hornell NY in 2009 shows A. McHenry & Co. to be long closed.
