The Engraving charts are useful if you are trying to decipher a particular monogram or engraving. The following charts help us decode the old style scripts.

Looking at the bottom row we can tell that the first outline would represent the backside of Rose (or Corsage, Forget Me Not or Princess) Next is

Lady Claire, followed by HOMEWOOD the newest pattern. The forth one is Betsy Patternson Engraved and then Puritan. Along the bottom is another round top (same as the first position) followed by Clinton
