This is the actual 1912 invoice from the contractor to construct the new Stieff Building at 311 Redwood Street. This would move the factory from the cramped old quarters on Cider Alley to a new “state of the art” silversmith facility. Ten short years later they would be breaking ground on the final and most famous Stieff Building on Wyman Driveway.
In 1912... 33,011.97 would build you a very nice commercial building.

In the interim years, the building at 311 German Street was also expanded and 313 German Street became the Stieff offices for a number of years. All operations moved to the new building in 1925.
